Paralympian champion, FEMA leader Mastandrea to speak in Arlington Heights

Paralympian champion and Federal Emergency Management Agency official Linda Mastandrea will give a presentation Thursday, April 11, to the Arlington Heights Commission for Citizens with Disabilities.

The event is set for 7 p.m. in the board room of village hall, 33 S. Arlington Heights Road.

Mastandrea is well known throughout the disability community for her accomplishments, including 15 gold and five silver medals in track as a Paralympian and her new role as FEMA's director of the Office of Disability Integration & Coordination.

For the hearing-impaired, two American Sign Language interpreters will be on-hand to interpret the presentation.
