Letter: Greater vigilance could save lives
While it's easy to say that life is short and we should enjoy what we have at this very moment, it's all so very true.
Earlier this week a young life was snuffed out in the blink of an eye on Randall Road in St. Charles, and
the driver of the car was seriously injured.
While it may be an exaggeration to refer to Randall as a deathtrap, the fact remains it is a very dangerous
stretch of road with vehicles often traveling at high speeds.
What's more, those blinking arrows that are supposed
to alert us to changing traffic lights can be distracting, especially to older drivers who are unaccustomed to
watching out for them.
We all need to be more careful and vigilant.
