Recycle old holiday lights in Mundelein

The Mundelein Public Works and Engineering Department is collecting unwanted holiday lights at four locations this winter.

Light strands can be dropped off between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. weekdays through Jan. 31. The collection points are: village hall, 300 Plaza Circle; public works headquarters, 440 E. Crystal St.; fire station No. 1, 1000 N. Midlothian Road; and fire station No. 2, 1300 S. Lake St.

Lawn ornaments, light strands connected to wreaths and other decorations will not be accepted. For questions, call (847) 949-3270.
