Suburban Chicago man killed after child's birthday party
AURORA, Ill. (AP) - Police in the suburban Chicago city of Aurora say a 31-year-old man was shot and killed after leaving a child's birthday party.
The shooting late Sunday followed a disturbance in the same area that left two other people injured. Authorities say the others who were hurt were not shot but needed medical attention.
The man who died has been identified as Andres Ochoa of Aurora.
Police say the others who were injured were "less than fully cooperative" with investigating officers. Police don't believe the victim was randomly targeted. They are seeking information from the public.
