Letter: Civilized society won't accept a nation's cruelty

Putin literally surrounds a neighboring country with huge tanks, other military equipment, and perhaps 150,000 troops and then proceeds to invade that country indiscriminately killing innocent people of all ages, destroying their homes, their hospitals, their schools, their churches, seemingly everything that the eye can see.

And this savage, cruel, nightmare just goes on and on and on. It never stops, hence causing the innocents, the young, the old, the sick, to grab what they can carry and flee this nightmare. In effect, Putin apparently seeks to destroy an entire culture of people and everything precious to them. All that's left are the bodies, the rubble and the very brave men and women who will fight to their death this savage, unjust and yes, criminal attempt for a people to take what is not theirs, regardless of the cost.

Thank God, the world has seemingly revolted from this behavior, apparently from our earlier experiences with war. One can only hope that men like Putin, will somehow, some way, come to understand that most of the civilized world will no longer accept this cruel and costly way for nations to achieve their goals and aspirations.

God save us all if I am wrong.
