Hoffman Estates hosts MLK Breakfast Jan. 20
The Hoffman Estates Cultural Awareness Commission is inviting the public to its 18th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Breakfast, beginning at 8 a.m. Monday, Jan. 20.
The event will take place in the Ed & Mary Hennessy Room at village hall, 1900 Hassell Road.
This year's theme is, "Rising Together: Our Path to the Mountaintop." A special keynote address will be given by Herb Porter, a Hanover Park village trustee. Entertainment will be provided by Carolyn E. Hollins, a songwriter, choir director and minister.
Seating is limited, and reservations are being accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. There is a limit of four people per reservation, which are being accepted through 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, or until the event fills up.
