Elgin police investigate shots fired in alley
Elgin police are investigating shots fired early Saturday in an alley, authorities said.
Officers called about 2:30 a.m. to the 700 block of Walnut Street, found several spent shell casings in an alley and damage to a residence from the gunfire, police said.
Detectives are asking that anyone with any information contact the Major Investigation Division at (847) 289-2600.
Anonymous tips can be made via the crime line at (847) 695-4195 or by texting 847411 and including ELGINPD in the beginning of the text, along with the message.
