After 'Miles Ahead,' Don Cheadle may film again in Ohio

CINCINNATI (AP) - Actor-director Don Cheadle says he's considering doing another film project in Cincinnati.

He was in town for a special showing Saturday of "Miles Ahead," his new movie about jazz great Miles Davis shot in the Ohio city in 2014. Cheadle says the city really welcomed the cast and crew and its historic architecture helped produce a period film that felt authentic.

He tells The Cincinnati Enquirer (http://cin.ci/22RvdVw ) that the city's layout and Ohio's motion picture incentives also were reasons to film in Cincinnati. He says he was thinking Saturday: "Should we come back here again?"

Cheadle says locally based musicians appear in the movie, which he describes as having a jazz-like, free-form storytelling style.

The movie "Carol" that was nominated for multiple Academy Awards is among other recent Cincinnati-shot films.
