Businesses, first responders to compete in Rolling Meadows chili challenge

Rep's Place in downtown Rolling Meadows will host a "Chili Challenge - With a Twist!" Sunday afternoon featuring the recipes of local first responders and eateries.

Participants in the competition so far include Rep's Place, Finn McCool's, The Stadium and the Rolling Meadows police and fire departments. Winners will be picked in three categories: best overall chili, most traditional chili and hottest chili.

The $10 entry fee covers chili samplings and one free raffle ticket. There will be a cash bar.

Setup for participants begins at 11 a.m. and the challenge runs from noon to 2 p.m. Rep's is at 3200 Kirchoff Road.
