Birding by ear in Libertyville
Learning to "bird by ear" by recognizing and identifying birds by their vocalizations will be the topic of the Lake County Audubon meeting, Monday, April 4, from 7:30 to 9 p.m., at the Libertyville village hall, 118 W. Cook Ave. The speaker is Geoffrey A. Williamson, co-editor of Illinois-Indiana regional reports for North American Birds. Williamson will present concepts in bird vocalizations and resources available to those who want to acquire or improve ear-birding skills. The meeting is free and open to the public. Children are welcome.
