FBI investigating Elgin bank robbery

The FBI is investigating a bank robbery that occurred in Elgin Saturday afternoon, officials said.

A man entered a Chase Bank on the 1100 block of N. McLean Boulevard around 12:41 p.m., according to a news release on the Elgin Police Department's Facebook page. The man implied he had a weapon, but it wasn't displayed, the release said. No one was injured, and the man fled the scene, the release said.

The man is described as white with a medium build; he was last seen in a light sweatshirt with "NY" on the chest, according to the release.
