Police: Missing Gurnee-area woman found safe

Authorities said a missing Gurnee-area woman has been found and she is safe.

Lake County sheriff's officials did not provide any details about Pamela A. Byrne, 55, of the 37000 block of North Willow Lane, in unincorporated Lake County near Gurnee.

Sheriff's deputies on Friday responded to the residence for a report of a missing endangered woman.

They discovered Byrne had left her residence at approximately 11:30 a.m. and had made comments indicating she may harm herself, police said.
