Letter: Help abandoned babies

April is Save Abandoned Babies Month. Tell everyone you know about the Safe Haven Law. You might save a life.

Unharmed newborns up to 30 days old may be handed to staff at a hospital, emergency medical facility, firehouse, police station, college/university police station or Illinois State Police district headquarters. no questions asked. A confidential help line is available 24/7 at 888-510-BABY.

Addison residents check out our sign on the Addison Police station. There is no reason to abandon a baby. Bring the child to a safe place.
