Grayslake Heritage Center trees
The Grayslake Heritage Center at 164 Hawley St., Grayslake, has lighted holiday trees in its windows.
Members of the Grayslake Lions Club, Grayslake Chamber of Commerce, Grayslake Arts Alliance, Grayslake Historical Society and the village of Grayslake queens have each decorated a tree.
The Lions Club tree has handcrafted ornaments created by a volunteer. The historical society trees say: "Staff and volunteers of the Grayslake History Museum wish everyone a Happy Holiday Season." Society and museum volunteers contributed an ornament to the tree. Each day, an ornament is featured on the Society's Facebook page telling of the person's role in the historical society and museum.
The society's book, "Stories of Grayslake" is available for holiday giving. Send $28 to the Grayslake Historical Society, P.O. Box 185, Grayslake, Ill. 60030 and the book will be mailed to you. By appointment, the book may be picked up curbside for $20. Call (847) 223-7663.
