Elections at risk

The DuPage county election machinery reaches end-of-life the end of the year. Out of warranty, no longer supported by the vendor, not even receiving security updates, it will be impossible to run an officially certified election. The Republicans on the county board, and only the Republicans, have refused to fund replacement equipment.

For the DuPage County Republicans, uncertifiable election procedures seem to be a feature, not a bug.
