Treason was considered

The revelations coming out of the Jan. 6 committee investigating the insurrection are truly stunning. Now we have a 38-page document titled "Election Fraud, Foreign Interference & Options for 6 JAN" delivered to the committee by none other than Mark Meadows, the former president's chief of staff. It's pretty clear, based on the bits that have been published, that Meadows and others were secretly plotting to overthrow the election results. The idea that all this was going on without Trump's knowledge is beyond laughable. Think about it, they planned to have Trump declare a national emergency and have Mike Pence refuse to certify the vote. This is treason, plain and simple, and should be on the front page of every newspaper in the country. To quote the Washington Post's slogan, "Democracy dies in darkness."
