Local Students Receive Awards at Lake Forest College

Lake Forest, Il.- Two seniors from Lake Forest, Illinois, were recently honored at the 2019 Senior Honors Convocation at Lake Forest College.

Michelle Kielar '19 was awarded the Roger A. White '60 Prize in Philosophy.

Established in 2016 by its namesake, Roger White '60, the Roger A. White Endowed Prize in Philosophy is awarded annually to a senior, majoring in Philosophy, who most embodies Mr. White's intellectual curiosity and strong belief in lifelong learning.

Daniel Robles '19 was awarded the Lorraine D. and H. Randall Heath Senior Prize in Music.

This award is given to a student who has made a strong positive contribution to the Music Program. The recipient has demonstrated leadership in ensembles and has brought passion and excellence to his or her activities at the College. It is awarded at Senior Honors Convocation.

Lake Forest College is a national liberal arts institution located 30 miles north of downtown Chicago. The College has 1,500 students representing nearly every state and 80 countries.
