New Aurora church enrolls first new members

Flowing Forth United Methodist Church in Aurora, formed in October, welcomed its first new members April 28.

During worship services, the Rev. Derek Rogers introduced new members to the congregation.

Welcomed were Breann Rogers, North Aurora; Mark Lindsay, Aurora; and Ruth and Jeff Butler, North Aurora. The Butlers' sons, Cole, Graham and Quinn, accompanied their parents.

New members completed a class led by Rev. Rogers to qualify for membership.

Flowing Forth UMC was formed in October after a merger of the former historic Fourth Street UMC and Flowing Grace UMC, both in Aurora.

Services are held at 10 a.m. Sundays at Aurora Christian School, 2255 Sullivan Road. The public is invited. Call (630) 239-2321 for more information.
