Lake County Clerk video teaches how to vote by mail

The Lake County Clerk's Office has released a short video to teach people how to mail in their votes in the upcoming election.

The short video guides registered voters through the steps of completing the required ballot application and returning a marked ballot to the clerk's office in Waukegan. The video can be found on YouTube at youtu.be/2mP9kRXlMvY.

Voting by mail allows people to vote at convenient times, more time to complete the ballot and eliminates standing in line at the voting site. When voting by mail, citizens can be assured the ballot remains private and counted accurately.

Voters can visit the website LakeCountyClerk.info and click on the "November 2018 Election" icon to find voter registration information and additional details about the Nov. 6 election.
