History comes to life during Grayslake Cemetery tour

Visitors got to meet some of Grayslake Cemetery's permanent residents Sunday afternoon during the Grayslake Historical Society's annual living history tour.

Costumed interpreters dressed as important Grayslake residents of the past brought to life the stories of families buried in the cemetery. They told stories about the Wilbur Lumber Co. fire in Grayslake, the first Illinois State Fair and Lake County Fair, and the Grayslake Village Hall moving three times.

Grayslake Cemetery is on Lake Street, just north of Belvidere Road in Grayslake.
