How to take part in Palatine Hometown Fest

The Palatine Jaycees are looking for individuals and organizations interested in participating in Palatine's Hometown Fest to be held July 1 through July 4 at Community Park.

There are openings for entries in the July 2 parade, which will celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Village of Palatine, as well as the arts and crafts fair, and the business and charity expo. Entries in the parade cost $50 for charities and organizations and $100 for businesses.

"We are excited to celebrate the village anniversary in 2016 and encourage all applicants to reflect this theme in their entries," festival co-chairwoman Jennifer Hickman.

Applications for all events are available on the Jaycees' Fourth of July website, www.hometownfest.org.

The Jaycees also are looking for sponsors for the festival. For more information, call (847) 604-0288 or email sponsorship@palatinejaycees.org.

"Hometown Fest is one of the best known and attended events in the area," Hickman said. "We have a number of different sponsorship opportunities available that will get the sponsor's name in front of tens of thousands of local residents while supporting this community favorite project."
