What would be impressive about health care

I watched the Fox News Town Meeting on April 3, with Howard Schultz, potential Independent candidate for president in 2020.

One of the audience participants asked Schultz what he would do if elected president to solve the medical health insurance crisis in the United States. Schultz began his answer, bragging that his company was the first major company to offer medical insurance coverage to 100 percent of the full- and part-time Starbuck's employees and accordingly, he had the answer to spreading this success across America.

What he didn't say or emphasize is that 100 percent of the people with the Starbuck's insurance coverage, work - either full- or part-time. So maybe he did indirectly give the correct answer: 100 percent of the people in the United States that receive health insurance must work at least part-time to receive health care insurance?

I actually do believe that we need to provide health insurance for the poor, the disabled, and the old people who cannot work. But I am tired of the CEOs who stand up and brag about their company providing health insurance for 100 percent of their people. When these companies start providing the same health insurance for an equal number of non-employees and their families, I will be impressed.
