West Virginia 2017 football schedule released
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) - West Virginia will have six home games in the 2017 football season, including two each in September, October and November.
The Mountaineers will open the season Sept. 2 against Virginia Tech in Landover, Maryland. It marks the first time the teams have met since 2005.
The rest of the nonconference schedule includes home games Sept. 9 against East Carolina and Sept. 16 against FCS Delaware State.
West Virginia plays its first two Big 12 games on the road Sept. 23 against Kansas and, after a bye week, plays at TCU on Oct. 7. Other road league contests are Nov. 11 at Kansas State and Nov. 25 at Oklahoma.
WVU's home league games are Oct. 14 against Texas Tech, Oct. 28 against Oklahoma State, Nov. 4 against Iowa State and Nov. 18 against Texas.
