Aurora Interfaith Food Pantry to host taco fundraiser Sept. 11

Aurora Interfaith Food Pantry, 1110 Jericho Road in Aurora, will hold a fundraiser, "Tacos Que Apoyan" ("Tacos That Support"), from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11. The public is invited. There will be a pinata, and free mechanical bull rides. Parking is free.

The menu includes tacos by Tacos Del Gordo, $2 each; elotes (corn on cob), $2 each; and sodas, $1 each.

For every three tacos purchased, the pantry can purchase $42 in food from Northern Illinois Food Bank.

Sponsors have pledged enough tacos and elotes for 500 people to attend.
