Indianapolis man accused in double murder faces new charges
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - An Indianapolis man accused of killing two teenage boys now faces charges alleging that he handcuffed another boy while posing as a police officer days before the teens vanished.
Kevin Watkins was arrested last month on two murder counts in connection with the disappearance of 16-year-old Dionne Williams and 15-year-old Timmee Jackson.
Court documents allege the 49-year-old bail agent suspected Williams had burglarized his home. Williams and Jackson vanished Dec. 24.
The Indianapolis Star reports (http://indy.st/1ZPQ0Wi ) Watkins now faces charges of criminal confinement and impersonating a police officer in another incident.
A probable cause affidavit filed Monday alleges Watkins posed as a police officer Dec. 20 and handcuffed another boy he suspected in the burglary. Watkins eventually released the youngster after the boy said he wasn't involved in that break-in.
