Troicki wins Sydney International title over Dimitrov
SYDNEY (AP) - Defending champion Viktor Troicki's backhand cross-court winner on match point gave the Serbian player a 2-6, 6-1, 7-6 (7) victory over Grigor Dimitrov in the Sydney International final on Saturday.
Each player saved match points in the tiebreaker - the conclusion to an 82-minute third set - before Troicki fell to his back when his winner left Dimitrov flat-footed at the net.
The last player to win consecutive titles in Sydney was American James Blake in 2006-07.
