Grains higher and livestock mixed
Wheat for Sept. advanced 16.50 cents at 5.1650 a bushel; Sept. corn was up 6.50 cents at 3.31 a bushel, Sept. oats rose 9.25 cents at $2.7350 a bushel; while Aug. soybeans gained 15.50 cents at $9.1250 a bushel.
Beef was lower and pork was higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. Aug. live cattle was off .70 cent at $1.0690 a pound; Aug. feeder cattle fell 1.20 cents at $1.0690 a pound; while Oct. lean hogs was up .50 cent at $.5352 a pound.
