Wheeling Helping Hands holding 3 fundraisers

Wheeling Helping Hands, a not-for-profit volunteer organization dedicated to raising funds in support of the Wheeling Police and Fire Departments' charity programs, is holding fundraising events Thursday through Saturday, Sept 8-10.

These charities include the Shop with the Cops Christmas holiday program, for families who cannot afford gifts for their younger family members; Operation Warm Coat, for those in need at local schools; and the Burn Camp, for child survivors impacted by fire.

To raise money for these programs, Wheeling Helping Hands will host three days of fundraising events.

The events kick off with an outing at Chevy Chase featuring 18 holes of golf, followed by dinner and a silent auction at Market Square Restaurant. Check-in for golf at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, lunch is at 11 a.m. and golf is at noon.

On Friday, there's a buffet dinner at 7 p.m. and music by the group Midnight starting at 8 p.m. outdoors at Market Square Restaurant.

On Saturday, there's a pig roast from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. outdoors at Market Square. There will be activities for the entire family, including raffles and music.
