Another possible headline

"Church to defy order, resume services," is how it read in your May 12 paper. How different the reader's impression would have been had it instead been accurately phrased, "Church to assert rights, resumes services." The article was informative, but it missed two significant points discussed in the church's attorney's letter to the Governor: (1) The church's constitutional right to practice its beliefs ("religion") without governmental interference; and (2) the church's Biblical obligation to assemble together. Legal and Bible references were specifically cited in that letter for both of those very relevant issues.
