Control the frenzy

As political campaigns continue to ramp up into a frenzy, I have several thoughts.

1 - Eliminate all outside campaign money, corporate and individual. Free speech is not very cheap these days. Citizen's United was a mistake we are paying for.

2 - Publicly fund campaigns. "You get this much and that's it. Spend wisely."

3 - Shorten the campaign cycle to 90 days or less like other civilized nations, even some uncivilized.

Let's get back to running the country, not campaigns.
