Wonder Woman, Spider-Man chosen as Lake County's favorite heroes in mock election

The results from the Lake County clerk's office's mock election are in - Wonder Woman and Spider-Man are the county's favorite female and male superheroes, respectively. The contest, held during the Lake County Fair, was an opportunity for the clerk's office to give children and those young at heart an opportunity to use the county's newest voting machines. More than 450 residents cast their votes for their favorite sport, color and superpower, which went to soccer, blue and mind reading, respectively. The closest race was for favorite ice cream flavor - chocolate won over vanilla by just six votes. In addition to hosting the mock election, clerk's office staffers also conducted voter registration and recruited election judges.
