How has the village handled that balancing act so far, and how would you improve/maintain that situation?We have not raised the property taxes the village collects in the 4 years I have been on the board. We have tried to keep business taxes lower than the surrounding communities. I plan on doing the same if re-elected.The village in recent years has taken some significant steps in terms of economic activity. What, if anything, is currently lacking in the village's economic portfolio, and how do you envision your community developing economically over the next four years?I want more development. I have voted YES for every development in the last four years. There has been many buildings built or refurbished in my four years as trustee.This means more money for businesses, the village and less burden on the taxpayers.Describe your ideas for improving or developing the downtown. What steps can the village take to support the downtown businesses and bring more people to the area?We need to continue the success of our downtown events and grow them, that is the plan and it is in place. I want to help every developer willing to bet on East Dundee with incentives to invest in our great downtown.Where in the village's budget, if anywhere, could expenses be trimmed? And on the other hand, should the budget allot more money toward any particular area, service or village department?We have moved more money to our downtown area and it shows, our people love it. It will continue to get the most attention and resources.What is one good idea you have to better the community that no one is talking about yet?I heard Amazon is opening grocery stores!
