Police are investigating a meetup arranged online to buy festival tickets, after they said it turned into an armed robbery in a Naperville parking lot.

Police said an individual was robbed by an armed suspect in Naperville Wednesday, during a meeting arranged online to buy festival tickets.

Naperville police responded about 3 p.m. to the report of an armed robbery in a parking lot near the intersection of Route 59 and Jefferson Avenue, according to an alert put out by the Naperville Police Department.

The suspects fled and no injuries were reported, police said.

Officers have encouraged the public to use the Naperville Police Department lobby at 1350 Aurora Avenue to host meetups planned online.
