Arlington Heights church to host LGBTQ+ community building event

Congregational United Church of Christ in Arlington Heights will host a LGBTQ+ community building event Saturday.

Guest speakers will include Cook County Commissioner Kevin Morrison, Buffalo Grove Pride parade organizers Carolyn and Molly Pinta, and Nova Maday, who was at the center of a lawsuit about locker room access in Palatine-Schaumburg High School District 211.

"Strengthening Ties: LGBTQ+ Allyship and Community-Building" is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, at 1001 W. Kirchoff Road.
