Blackhawks extend Koekkoek contract

The Blackhawks agreed to a one-year, $925,000 contract extension with defenseman Slater Koekkoek on Monday.
Koekkoek, acquired from Tampa Bay for Jan Rutta in January, had 1 goal and 4 assists in 22 games with the Hawks. The 25-year-old also scored once in nine games with the Lightning.
