AMLI Residential Cleans Up Montrose Beach
AMLI Residential partnered with Alliance for the Great Lakes to participate in a Beach Cleanup. On Thursday, July 12, AMLI's Chicago Corporate office and surrounding AMLI apartment communities (130 employees) collected 236 pounds of trash and recycling at Montrose Beach.
Volunteer teams collected items and calculated data, which will help researchers understand the impact of pollution on our lakes and develop solutions to pollution problems in our area. Trash and recycling were sorted and placed in the appropriate containers. There was a visible difference in the cleanliness of the beach when the effort was completed.
AMLI's FAMLI volunteer program in an important part of the AMLI culture in its nine markets across the country. It enables AMLI employees and residents to connect with local non-profit organizations and give back to the community. This beach cleanup aligns with AMLI's commitment to sustainability, which is driven by the company's mission to create healthy living spaces for residents and to be a responsible steward of our environment.
