No. 19 Oklahoma women cruise past Texas Tech 92-53

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - Kaylon Williams had 18 points, six rebounds and four assists, and No. 19 Oklahoma used a big first quarter to beat Texas Tech 92-53 on Wednesday for the Sooners' tenth straight win in the series.

Williams became the 31st player in Oklahoma history to score 1,000 career points.

Oklahoma jumped out to a 12-6 lead and did not allow another point in the first quarter to build a 24-point lead. The 30 points were the most scored in a quarter by Oklahoma this season.

Maddie Manning added 14 points for Oklahoma (13-4, 4-2 Big 12) and Gioya Carter had a season-high 13.

The Sooners held Texas Tech to 19-of-50 shooting (38 percent), forced 20 turnovers and set a season-high point total.

Ivonne Cook-Taylor led Texas Tech (10-8, 1-6) with 20 points. It was her seventh 20-plus game of the season. Japreece Dean added 13 for the Red Raiders.
