Rotary Club sponsors Community Dinner at Emmaus House

On October 14th, the Rotary Club of Long Grove, Kildeer and Hawthorn Woods sponsored and served the Sunday evening community dinner at Emmaus House in Lake Zurich. The dinner is held weekly in the lower level of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church.

Club members participating in the event included: Adam Keppel (Coordinator) of Cary, Jim Dopler and George Dorner of Kildeer, and Lyle Staab and Greg Cardelli of Hawthorn Woods. Numerous other volunteers from the local community also help with the dinner each week. A picnic themed menu was provided including fresh garden salad, fried chicken, potato salad, bread/rolls, vegetables, desserts and beverages.

Emmaus House provides food, clothing and funding for shelter to families in need in Lake County, helping them move from crisis to stability.

The Rotary Club of Long Grove, Kildeer and Hawthorn Woods meets every Tuesday morning at 7:15 AM at Harbor Chase of Long Grove. More information about the Club is available at RCLG.org.
