Local Company raises money at their Company Picnic for local YWCA

Weiman Products, LLC, a local manufacturing company responsible for such products as Weiman Cooktop & Granite Cleaners, Goo Gone Gel & Tough Task Wipes, Magic America Odor Absorbing Fragrance Beads, & many other household cleaners and polishes that you can find in all of the major stores, decided that for their annual company picnic this year, instead of just having fun, they wanted to raise some funds for a local charity or business. And, what better charity to support than one of their neighbors, the YWCA of Lake County…an non-profit organization located right down the street from them, off of Tri-State Parkway in Gurnee!

On August 4th, the entire executive team from Weiman Products, for a small fee, allowed themselves to be raffled off to grant all of their employees the chance to get them soaked by playing Pitchburst® (The Original Dunk Tank Alternative), in which they pitched a ball and upon hitting the target, a water balloon bursts on the unlucky person's head. The event went over so well that between the raffle & what the company matched, over $1000 was raised! On Monday, August 29th, representatives from Weiman (the FunRaisers Social Committee, along with the CEO, Chris Bauder) made a trip down to the YWCA to present them with the check.

All proceeds raised will be used to support their upcoming domestic violence initiative event, a purse raffle, at Stevens Restaurant in Gurnee on September 26th.
