Waukegan man facing drug, gun charges
A two-month investigation by the Lake County Sheriff's Gang Task Force and North Chicago police culminated Oct. 20 with the arrest of a 19-year-old Waukegan man on felony drug and weapons charges.
Daniel R. Blalock, of the 900 block of Forest Lane, faces four counts of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance and one count of unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon stemming from the investigation.
Sheriff's police say that on four separate occasions, Blalock sold cocaine to an undercover member of the gang task force. During one of the sales, authorities say, Blalock facilitated the sale of a firearm to the undercover detective.
Blalock is being held in the Lake County jail on $250,000 bail. His next court date is Thursday.
