Carpentersville

• Edward G. Arnold, 67, of Elgin, was charged Monday with retail theft, police said. He is accused of stealing $79 worth of plants from Platt Hill Nursery on Randall Road.

• A wallet containing a driver's license, credit cards and $50 cash was reported stolen Sunday from the customer service desk at Walmart on Randall Road.

• Edyta Meler, 49, of Hoffman Estates, was charged Sunday with retail theft, police said. She is accused of stealing $147 worth of merchandise from Walmart.

• Santiago M. Dominguez, 28, of Carpentersville, was charged Saturday with criminal trespassing to land, police said. He was spotted at the Walmart gas station after being issued a trespass notice Sept. 5 banning him from the property, according to reports.

• A Carpentersville boy was charged Saturday with retail theft, police said. He is accused of stealing a $74 tablet from Walmart.
