Round Lake Beach man who died in accident Wednesday identified

The Lake County Coroner's Office Friday identified the 18-year-old Round Lake Beach man who was killed in an accident Wednesday in Avon Township as Diego Estrada.

Estrada was driving west on Rollins Road just west of Drury Lane about 9 a.m. in Avon Township when he lost control and went into a slide, officials said. Estrada's vehicle struck an eastbound vehicle driven by a 36-year-old McHenry man, who was uninjured.

The preliminary autopsy results indicate that Estrada died as a result of multiple traumatic injuries from the crash. The investigation is ongoing by the Lake County Coroner's Office and the Lake County Sheriff's Office Technical Investigations Unit.
