At the Mundelein Village Board meeting of Feb. 10, state Rep. Mary Edly-Allen presented our police Chief Eric Guenther with the Dr. Nathan Davis award for outstanding government service. Rather than publish this piece of positive news, the Daily Herald chose to dedicate several paragraphs and pictures of a flood plain/park proposal. Both equally newsworthy, no?
