Pedestrian critically injured in Des Plaines

A pedestrian was in critical condition after he was struck by a vehicle Tuesday in Des Plaines, according to the Des Plaines Fire Department.

About 6 p.m., authorities responded to the crash site just west of the intersection of Golf and Mount Prospect roads.

The crash is still under investigation.
