Huntley street names honor early residents

Take a stroll down memory lane when the Huntley Historical Society presents its annual business meeting and program at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, July 22, at the Cosman Center auditorium, 12015 Mill St. in Huntley.

There will be a brief business meeting followed by the program and silent auction of outstanding items and gift cards donated by many local businesses and restaurants.

Jake Marino and Tom Conley will present the program about the street names, farms and businesses named after longtime residents who helped to shape Huntley's history.

There will be refreshments generously donated by Jim Drendel, owner of Drendel's Corner.

Many memory books, artifacts, and photos of the old schools, families and businesses will be on display. This program is free and open to the public and no reservations will be necessary.
