Folk rock benefit

A folk rock benefit concert featuring local acoustic guitarists and singers has been scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, in sanctuary of Peace Lutheran Church, 1050 Old Rand Road, Lake Zurich. Music from the '70s and '80s will be performed and include songs from artists, such as the Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, Harry Chapin, and James Taylor. There is no admission for the event but donations are requested, with proceeds going to the church's Detroit flood recovery organization and adult mission trip group this summer.
