Bosnia-Herzegovina defeats Denmark on penalties in Kirin Cup
TOYOTA, Japan (AP) - Ten-man Bosnia-Herzegovina defeated Denmark 4-3 on penalties after a 2-2 draw at the Kirin Cup on Friday.
Captain Haris Medunjanin converted the winning penalty kick for Bosnia, which got two goals from Milan Duric in regulation. Simon Kjaer and Viktor Fischer scored for Denmark.
Bosnia will play either Japan or Bulgaria on Tuesday in Osaka for the Kirin Cup title.
Kjaer redirected a shot by Christian Eriksen in the 22nd minute to give Denmark a 1-0 lead and the Danes doubled their advantage four minutes before halftime through Fischer.
Duric scored on a header in the 52nd but defender Ognjen Vranjes was sent off after 70 minutes for a second yellow card for taking down Eriksen.
Duric equalized in the 84th to send the game to penalties.
