Surgical Care Affiliates partners with Florida center

DEERFIELD - Surgical Care Affiliates has partnered with the physician members of Merritt Island Surgery Center in Merritt Island, Florida.

The partnership operates an ambulatory surgical facility that represents an important access point for high quality, low cost surgical services on Florida's central east coast, known as the Space Coast. The partnership expands SCA's presence on the Space Coast to three locations and aligns SCA with an additional 13 high-quality physicians.

"With the addition of the Merritt Island Surgery Center, our growing network is now poised to collaborate with health plans and employers to reduce costs of surgical care for Space Coast residents," said Rena Courtay, a vice president at SCA.
