Lindenhurst Park District presents Community Service Award

In the past year, the Lindenhurst Park District decided to recognize, on a larger scale, those individuals, organizations, and governmental bodies that have continuously contributed their time and resources for the Lindenhurst Park District and community.

Once this was determined, the Lindenhurst Park District submitted a Community Services Individual/Group to the Statewide Organization of the Illinois Association of Park Districts and Illinois Park and Recreation Association.

Both organizations concurred with the park district and presented the recognition plaques to Lindenhurst Park District Executive Director Dave Mohr at the recent Illinois Park and Recreation Association Conference in Chicago.

The Lindenhurst Park District then presented the 2017 Community Service Award to Jim and Barb Stout for their years of support through cooperation and volunteerism to the Lindenhurst Community.

They have supported a variety of Lindenhurst Park District projects and events, and are actively involved in making the community better and more responsive.
