HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. (AP) - Top-ranked Jason Day shot a 2-under 69 on Friday in the RBC Heritage for a share of the second-round lead with Kevin Chappell and Charley Hoffman.

Chappell and Hoffman shot 68s for the second straight day at Harbour Town to join Day at 6-under 136.

Day has won two of his past three PGA Tour events. The Australian opened on the 10th tee and birdied the difficult, wind-swept lighthouse hole at No. 18. He added birdies on Nos. 2, 3 and 6.

Luke Donald, tied for the first-round lead after a 66, was a stroke back along with Russell Knox and Patton Kizzire. Donald had a 71, Knox shot 65, and Kizzire 68.

LOTTE CHAMPIONSHIP

KAPOLEI, Hawaii (AP) - Katie Burnett chipped in for birdie on the par-4 18th for a 5-under 67 and a one-stroke lead in the Lotte Championship.

Winless in 59 career starts on the LPGA Tour, the 26-year-old Georgia player had her second straight bogey-free round to take a 13-under 203 total into the final round at Ko Olina.

Su-Yeon Jang was second after a 67. Playing on a sponsor exemption, the 21-year-old South Korean player is coming off a victory last week in the Korean LPGA event sponsored by Lotte - a win that earned her a spot next year at Ko Olina.

U.S. Women's Open champion In Gee Chun (65) and Moriya Jutanugarn (68) were 10 under.

MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC CLASSIC

DULUTH, Ga. (AP) - Tom Watson was in position to make PGA Tour Champions history after shooting a 4-under 68 for a share of the first-round lead with Tom Byrum and Mark O'Meara in the Mitsubishi Electric Classic.

A week after making his final appearance in the Masters, the 66-year-old Watson is trying to become the oldest winner on the 50-and-over tour. Mike Fetchick set the mark in the 1985 Hilton Head Seniors International on his 63rd birthday.

Todd Hamilton, Jesper Parnevik and Kenny Perry were a stroke back at TPC Sugarloaf.

SPANISH OPEN

SOTOGRANDE, Spain (AP) - Spain's Pablo Larrazabal shot an even-par 71 in strong wind to take a two-shot lead after the second round of the European Tour's Spanish Open.

Larrazabal had a 3-under 139 total at Valderrama.

England's Andrew Johnston was second after a 74.
